PHYSICAL FITNESS STRESSED I PE M.l. Waldman The Physical Education Department is seeking to provide more individual attention in its instructional program by increasing the staff membership therefore lowering the class size. Sev- eral teachers have been added to the staff to handle the shift in class size. Special emphasis is being placed on the intramural and extramural pro- grams within the required classes. The elective classes are stressing the im- portance of physical fitness. This year the department has changed not only in its instructional aspect but also in the construction of the gym and dressing rooms. New lot kers were installed in the boys dressing room and a new floor was put down in the gym. These teachers range from Distribu- tive Education to Art. Included are Home Economics, Band and Chorus. X AL' ' Wilson Crouch Vi Poff Sue Sullivan Vi Poff's role as Kempsville High's nurse demands that her attention be focused on the students. Her concern for each individual's welfare is evident. The library is growing and ex- panding everyday with the help of new materials. It is headed by Bob Braun and Edith Tanner. Sue Sullivan and Wilson Crouch have two completely different jobs but one object in common, that is service. Sue Sullivan is head dietician and Wilson Crouch is head of the custodial staff.
