Due to limberness and gracefulness achieved while cheer leading in K. H. S., Mary Sue Kiracofe is receiving encores as a Hotsy Totsy dancer in a Honky Tonk, owned and operated by Babyface Duplain. Mrs. Barnes' successor, Leah Ray Mears, is back at Kempsville. She has taken over Mrs. Barnes' old job of trying to graduate Billy Hudgins, who was somehow dropped by the wayside in the rush of '49, The eminently famous and world renowned interior decorator Claire Kennedy has achieved a new harmonizing of chartreus criss-crosses enhanced by robins' egg blue waves, offset by vermillion and indigo sprays and is reported to be trying this effect in the trophy room of millionaire big game hunter, Bennett Dixon Sloan. The Boston Red Sox have just received two new recruits, one puny pitcher by the name of Lawton Box and his ace whiz water boy by the name of Bud Everett. Our new principal, Miss Barbara Richards, has just received word that Edward Flanders, who is now running a hot dog stand in Podunk, is suflicring from delusions of mustard jello topped with pickles gooed up in his four foot beard. Our two great statesmen of English, Voter Parron and I-Iotlips Nuckols have just printed their own English book making the verb-to be-passive, transitive. Shoes' has just hired one of the most glamorous girls in Norfolk, our own Miss Charlotte Bowden, for curb service. You must drop in sometime. John Rittenhouse and Wayne Boggs are serving a 1 to 99 year term at Alcatraz for skidding around mountain curves while racing in their grandmother's hotrods, which were loaded with loot stolen from Rice's foundation department. We hear they are happy little trustees now. Warning! Joyce Carrick is still looking for a dream man. Edward Deford recently lost his title as the World's Fastest Typistn to his very able successor, Mr. Robert Hendricks, and is retiring to dairy raising. Mr. Hendricks made his debut at Carnegie Hall last month playing Nutcracker Suite at a net speed of 358W words a minute. Flash! The newest champion of the world famed Olympic Games-The greatest bicyclist to ever pump a pedal-The Houdini of the spokes-We give you-Jack Price! Her blue eyes turned to sea green, her blonde hair to red, Cherry Mitchell is no longer a Norfolk belle. This lovely mermaid now resides on the sandy coral shores of Miami Beach. QMaking sand castles ?j Dewey Davis, traveling schmoo salesman, tells us of a Harvey House where petite Lenore Rice slings hash three times daily. Blair Eubanks now has an up and coming young radio announcer to take his place upon retirement. Howard Pyle is really going far in the radio world and may be due for television, but credit should also be given to his able sound effects girl, Hazel Meixel. Richard Lane has just about made up his mind to go another term to please Mrs. Barnes. She says she just can't get along without her 'painn prankster, so heis taking up practical joking in summer school this season. Ladies and Gentlemen. How truly sorry we are to report to you the depressing news we have received of one of the foremost students of this Senior Class. We know how sorry you will be upon hearing of the well known international bee-keeper, Benny Haste. There has been no change in his critical condition. The latest communique from Lee Memorial Hospital says they are injecting grams of pure honey into his veins every four hours to offset the bee poison. We hope that after he gets well, this accident will not affect his eye sight so he won't stumble over his bee hives anymore. i211
