O INITIATION THE UPPER CLASSMEN TOOK THE CUSTOMARY PLEASURE or INITIATING THE NGREENU FRESHMEN INTO HIGH SCHOOL THIS YEAR JUST A FEW WEEKS AFTER SCHOOL STARTED, THE DAY BEGAN BY THE FRESHMEN APPEARING IN GORGEOUS OUTFITS---THE GIRLS BEING ATTIRED IN LONG WOOLEN UNDERWEAR WITH UN- SUITABLE ACCESSORIES, AND THE BOYS IN BECOMING SKIRTS AND SWEATERSI GEE, THEY LOOKED CUTE. THEY CERTAINLY OBEYED EVERY WISH OF THEIR SUPERIORS BY CARRYING THEIR BOOKS, WALKING TO THE BACK ENTRANCE, AND SCRUBBING HALLSS A PARTY WAS GIVEN THAT EVENING AND WE TREATED THE NEW TEACHERS AND THE FREBHMEN EXTRA WELL BY PUTTING THEM IN AN ELECTRIC SHOCKER, LEADING THEM OVER PLANKS, AND FEEDING THEM CASTOR OIL, RED HOT PEPPER SAUCE, AND SPA- GHETTI QWORMSD. HOWEVER, IN THE END WE HAD TO MAKE UP FOR ALL or THAT BAD TREATMENT BY SERVING EVERYONE SOME ICE CREAM AND CAKE AND HAPPY DAYS WERE HERE AGAIN. 4-H THERE ARE APPROXHMATELY 35 MEMBERS FROM HIGH SCHOOL EN SOME PHASE or A-H WORK. THE CROPS AND LIVESTOCK CLUB IS UNDER THE LEAOERSHBP or VIC REED. THE COOKING CLUB IS LED BY MRS. ADAMS AND THE SEWING CLUB BY MRS. BONNELQ THE KEENESBURG 4-H BOOSTERS, THE CROPS AND LIVESTOCK CLUB, HAS ABOUT 25 MEMBERS, BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS. THIS CLUB WON THE STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FN SQUARU DANCING. IT WON THE BLUE RIBBON FOR THIS COUNTY POR ACTIVITY IN THIS CLUB. THIS RIBBON IS PRESENTED EVERY YEAR BY THE QUAKER OATS CO. THE KEENE COOKERS COOKING CLUB TOOK PART IN THE WELD COUNTY JUNIOR FAIR, ACHEEVEMENT DAY, AND THE KEENES- BURG FAIR, WINNING A NICE AMOUNT Or RIBBONS AND PREMIUMSB THE SNAPPY STITCHERS SEWING CLUB ALSO TOOK PART IN THESE COMPETIRIONS AND BROUGHT HOME THEIR BLUE RIBBONS.
