SENIOR SCRIPT The stars of the 1957 season have had the shortest road to stardom in the history of Keene High School. Although it was the first class to attend Keene High for only three years, because of the new Junior High setup, its members are by no means lacking in talent. As understudies, they contributed much to our baseball, football, and basketball teams. Coached by their advisers, Mrs. Mousley and Mr. Mitchell, they sponsored many festive dances and helped actively to support all school functions. Promoted to supporting roles, the class of '57 began to gain renown. Their first prom, Symphony in Pink, is one they will remember with pride. For the first time Keene High School was represented at both Boys' Nation and Girls, Nation. Bonnie Price and Kurt Schmidt were the fortunate two. Now at last in the spotlight, they have received many honors. The first Keene High student to win the New Hampshire Voice of Democracy Contest, Gary Baker, deserves special recognition. Competing with four other lovelies: Marygrace Desco- teaux, Nancy Bradley, Barbara Whitcomb, and Bonnie Price, Martha Perry was chosen queen. Crowned at the beautiful Moonlight Melody Ball, Martha made a lovely queen. Urged on by their class officers and directed by Miss Ritchie and Mr. Perkins, they have done much to uphold high standards of scholarship and traditions. The stars of '57 will long be remembered for their many thrilling performances throughout the year, and, when they receive their life contracts, the diplomas, they will be well up the glittering ladder of success and ready to display their abilities before the cameras of life.
