A Beginning LAMP POST Kearny High School 336 Devon Street Kearny, New Jersey I can remember happy hours spent “talking” and “thinking”. 15 f Dr. J. Onnembo Superintendent of Schools Mr. J. Locasto Administration 17 Dedication Nancy Zimmerman We the class of 1987 dedicate our yearbook to Mrs. Nancy Zimmerman. Through the years, you helped make our days at Kearny High School the best time in our lives. You did this by showing us that you cared . . . always being there for us . . . making it possible for our dreams to come true . . . giving us memories to last a lifetime ... keeping an open mind and hearing us out .. . agreeing and disagreeing with us, but never making a decision without consulting us first . . . respecting our thoughts which, in turn, made us respect you even more ... having patience when we disagreed ... making us see things from a different angle. As a teacher, you passed your knowledge on to us and taught us well. The lessons will always be remembered. As an advisor, you taught us that working as a team was the best way to get the job done. As a friend, you were always there when problems arose and you made time for us when we needed help. You liked us for who we were and not for what we pretended to be. Thank you for devoting so much time and effort in making our senior year the best. Your words of encouragement and wisdom were greatly appreciated. The Class Of 1987 Dedication 19 E. John Bryceland Court, Tony Meola, Jon Zimmerman And I, never thought I'd feel this way. And as far as I'm concerned I'm glad I got the chance to say that I do believe I love you, and if I should ever go away, well then close your eyes and try to feel the way we do today, and then if you can remember — Keep smiling, keep shining, knowing you can always count on me for sure, that’s what friends are for, for good times and bad times, I'll be on your side for ever more, that’s what friends are for. Well you care enough for me, and now there’s much more I see, and so by the way I thank you. And then for the times when we're apart, then just close your eyes and know the words are coming from my heart and then if you can remember . . . 72 Jr. Prom Linda DiPopolo, Paula Casimiro, Mrs. S. I have had many new experiences and made many new friends. I could fill pages describing my sentiments but I have chosen my words carefully and will leave you with a few chosen thoughts: Don’t ever try to understand everything — some things will just never make sense. Don’t ever be reluctant to show your feelings — when you’re happy, give into it! When you’re not, live with it. Don’t ever be afraid to try to make things better — you might be surprised at the results. Don’t ever take the weight of the world on your shoulders. Don’t ever feel threatened by the future — take life one day at a time. Don’t ever feel guilty about the past — what’s done is done. Learn from any mistakes you might have made. Don’t ever feel you are alone .. . there is always somebody there for you to reach out to. Don’t ever forget that you can achieve so many of the things you can imagine. Imagine that! It's not as hard as it seems. Don’t ever stop loving. Don’t ever stop believing, Don’t ever stop dreaming your dreams. Roosevelt School P.T.A. m SENIOR DEDICATION As we close the door on high school life, we open it to a new way As we look back, we will laugh and cry and act as one “that” day This day will come faster than a blink, but our memories will never fade. This time was the best of all and the biggest step we’ve made. And once we’ve made it this far, we have the confidence we need. To know that we do have a chance and that we can succeed. My senior year; was so many things, it’s hard to even express. But most definitely and without a doubt, it has been the best! Of course, we all know that “87” is the greatest year of all And that’s because we are the class that always had a ball. We made all times seem fun and very worth our while. Even when our spirits were low, we always cracked a smile. That is more than often hard to do and difficult to come by. But we took pride in our ol’ school, faithful KEARNY HIGH. When we leave our place of growth, we all will feel some sorrow; But never bow your head too low, there is always a tomorrow. This dedication to my friends is straight out of my heart. I wish you all much happiness and luck with your new start. Izzi DaFonseca 224 Adv. ohn Armitage 'at Kane lobert OldKnow 1r. Mrs. H. Schulze .inda G. Schulze letty Zeoli Congratulations Dawn.
