It is our fervent hope that we have prepared you for the future whether it be higher education, the world of work, or the military. We want to thank you for what you have done for Kearny High School in the past four years. You have achieved outstanding records in the classroom and on the playing fields. You have left behind a legacy that the underclassmen will find difficult to duplicate. However, these high standards you have established will assist us in maintaining the great tradition of Kearny High. Doing one's best has always been important in schools; it is imperative in life. Continue to put forth your best effort and you will be fulfilled. A person is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.

Too often we tend to spend so much of our lives in between times, thinking of where we have been or where we are going. We would like to think that somehow your years at Kearny High School represent a striking period in your life when, in a sense, time stood still. Past and future blended in remembrances and experiences which, for our graduating seniors, will be only memories. If we, the faculty and staff, and you, our graduates, have touched each other, even slightly, with a little sentiment, a bit of intellect, and a lot of wisdom, then all our lives are enriched just by having known one another. As you leave high school, try to remember the feeling of friendship and carry it with you always. Be kind to yourselves and others. Best wishes for happiness, success, and good health. 19
