The Lady Cougars Are Looking Good The Girl's Tennis Team, coached by Gary Cleverly, Worked very hard this year. Four players went to Taylors- ville to compete in the Region Tournament, Where one player, Becky Larsen, was successful in winning and was named most Valuable player. The oth- er three players Who Went to Region were Amy Gseguera, Judy Rich, and Dixie Heming- way, Unfortunately, these three were eliminated because of a single elimination rule. These Lady Cougars had a hard rebuilding year and fin- ished With a 0-12 record. Howev- er, Coach Ben Hathaway was very optimistic and expected the team to do very well be- cause there were many return- ing members, and last year they placed fourth in region and thirteenth in state. The more outstanding runners in- cluded Rodney Johnston, Quint McCombs, Tom Morgan, and Christi Chidester.
