Team Works Hard, Plays Tough The Varsity Basketball Team worked hard during the sum- mer, attending a clinic at school as well as the Bronco Basket- ball Camp in Boise, Idaho. Coach Clark said that it was a great opportunity for the team to improve its fundamental skills. Their hard work showed throughout the season. The Cougars tipped off the season against the Brighton Bengals, who went on to win the State 4-A Championship. There were many close and eX- citing games, such as the one against Alta at Kearns. Our boys played tough, ending with a 4-20 record. Brett Falk was the leading scorer, averaging 18 points per game. Jeff Pace assisted great- ly by scrambling for the re- bounds. Robbie Lambert and Brett Falk served as co-cap- tains, helping with strategic plays. Other leading team members included DaWayne White, Kendale Gates, Scott Chappel, and John Hatch. Thanks, Cougars, for a job well done! Brett Falk, top scorer, was named to the All State Academic Basketball Team.
