Third nnual Trivia Contest Can you name the nationality of Pablo Picasso? Can you name how many teachers at KHS have or are expecting twins? How about stating what the X means in shorthand? If someone told you that the kids at Kearney High were taking extra time to answer questions asked by teachers, with- out being forced to, you'd think they were crazy. But they did just that. It was the Third Annual Bulldog Trivia Contest. The teams consisted of four students representing at least three grades. The fee was a dollar per person and all proceeds went to the Dream Factory. The Dream Factory is a non-profit organization that helps terminally ill children to have a dream fullfilled. Even if you're not a true trivia fan, just the thought of helping a terminally ill child made the students want to par- ticipate. On February l8, the first trivia match started. The teams would go down to the dungeon Cthe basementj or to a room that wasn't being used for an hour and teachers would ask them questions that were drawn from a box. This continued for about a month. On March 25, the teams had been narrowed down to just two, the Gnostics and the Four Horsemen. They competed at an assembly in front of the whole school. The Four Horsemen won, but that didn't seem to matter. The student body raised Sl6OO for the Dream Factory with help from National Honor So- ciety and Student Council. The winning team. the Four Horse- men, are busy fig- uring out a math problem. Trivia 4l

Many people thought this was important to show the communi- ty and school some of the things that the students do in these fine and practical arts classes.
