The class entered their first day with much an- ticipation for the year ahead. Being a Senior meant being faced with many responsibilities but also hav- ing the advantage of being top dog. One responsibility known to many Seniors was the cliche I owe, lowe, it's off to work I go. Making car payments, buying clothes, or having enough money to escape for the weekend all meant going to work. Achieving on the ACT or keeping their class rank from falling was also a constant thought for man y. There were also many students who set athlet- ic or musical goals. But the most difficult responsibil- ei' CC Thes be Iookec ly do wh Senior aa have acq the teacl many of , of makir know yoi for 3 yea ha ve kno they cal Seniors a back anc ity facing the Senior is what do Ido now. It 's not what the class does, or what you and your parents do but what do I do now? In our younger years when Shawn Cassidy was on an eight track tape and not cassette or a candy bar only cost a quarter our biggest deci- sion was whether or not to watch the Brady Bunch or opt for riding bikes outside. Now we are faced with which college to choose, what career is for me, or which branch of the armed forces to join. class of achievin tained oi on the ne in our ft ' A - ' ' 2-gag 3t,gaNgn,:i . , . ,..- ,, -MT... s.,..g ,. OU TDC These responsibilities may also be looked upon as advantages to final- ly do what you want to do. Another Senior advantage is the seniority you have acquired. You just don't know the teachers - you are friends with many of them. There is not the stress of making it to class on time, you know you can do it, you've practiced for 3 years. Seniors ha ve friends they have known for many years and know they can rely on them. This year's Seniors attitude is more of being laid back and sure of oneself. The Senior class of l98 7 is a very confident and achieving group. Each of us have at- tained our goals and are ready to take on the new goals we will be faced with in our future.
