The Kearney Pom-Pon squad enjoyed a fine season beginning in June when the girls received a spirit pon at camp. This enthusiastic spirit lasted throughout the 1978-79 year producing a successful season. The football season went smoothly and not one game was played without the Pom-pon girls in performance. The highlight of the successful basketball season was when Kearney shared the court with Excelsior for a joint performance. All of the girls would like to thank their sponsor, Mrs. Mary Russell for all of her time and dedication in making this one of the best years that the Pom-pon girls have ever had. . ,'., 9 . ?F '. 1TW .
