We deplore the use of a symbol specific to a religion as a memorial to the men, women, and children, of many beliefs who have been killed in Viet Nam. We now dedicate this yearbook to Barbara Tuffle. In consideration of the statement on the opposite page, I must say that nothing in the book which appeared offensive to anyone was intended, yet I can see where misinterpretations night occur. If anyone was hurt or displeased, I am truly sorry. But perhaps being sorry isn't enough. If the injustices which people face from day to day were eradicated, there would be no need for apology. The recent occurrences on Newark State's campus indicate a change within the function of the college community. Perhaps the students are finally awakening to the various situations which seem to ignore the rights of men. Any attempt to improve these things should be welcomed. Editor nemoraoilia 1970
