THE GOLDEN YEARS . . . FRESHMAN ' SOPHOMORE ' JUNIOR ' SENIOR These were our golden years-our years of maturing. A period that saw us emerge from the uncertainty ot the beginning to an acceptance of the responsibilities which lay before us and a willingness to resolve, when possible, the challenges which may confront us in the future. This is not the end, however, but merely the beginning. The golden years spent here are but a prelude to the many we are yet to meet. 1 .4 E V3 2- 'fi' J vs .. Qi.-5i Q. - . . 'if' NJ 0 Ax g EUGENE G. WILKINS TO THE CLASS OF 1964: The college has made the leap. You have been active players in this move that has taken the college from the ranks of the small institutions to a place among the larger colleges of the country. As students you have experi- enced, along with the faculty and the staff, all the growing pains. In the years to come the college will undoubtedly become much larger than it is now, but the real breakthrough happened during the time you were students. The pattern has been set, the major curricula established, and the direction of growth determined. When you come back to the college and find that it has doubled in size within the next decade, you can say with pride: I was with the college when we were searching for the best way in which to proceed, l had a hand in all of this. It is indeed something with which you can be gratified, not only in June of T964, but the many years to come. Sincerely, EUGENE G. WILKINS President
