We hurriedly try to tell you all we would wish you to know about this splendid work of being a teacher. But there is so much to say that we stand speechless as on a train platform waiting for friends to depart, all the while making small talk when we know there are great and important things to be said. And yet we should know our telling you will never make you realize the excitement and love of teaching— only experience can do that, not always the initial experience but that which comes from a span long enough to give pers ' pectivs. The Class of ' 60 is one of transition. You have seen your alma mater emerge from the cacoon-like housing on the old campus and spread its multi-colored wings on the new campus larger by more than a hundred fold.
