We, as fhe class of '54, enfered Newark Sfafe in Sepfember of I950 as fhe fypical shaking freshmen. Having found our way 'ro fhe fhird floor and fhe gym, we fried fo hide in fhe crowds and behind our flufophonesg buf fhis was nof fo be our fafe: fhe sopho- mores had ofher ideas. We donned our placards, frosh hafs lwifh brims downl and our shopping bags and proceeded fo be ac- cepfed as parf of fhe college. This was fhe year for bio field frips, Gaie Paree , gef- fing acquainfed and arf in fhe audiforium. Our semi-formal dance began our careers as social reformers. MSE HIETUHH Once again we refurned, buf now we were sophomores. We really had somefhing fo work for fhis year-fhe Bond Issue. How could we forgef fhe posfers, fhe. speeches, and Dr. Wilkins on TV, buf, besf of all, fhaf if wenf fhrough.
