AfTer Thaf was all over, The Sophs gave us a Talenf show and a parfy in The gym. As we became acquainfed wiTh life here, we Took our Turn enferfaining wifh a SainT PaTrick's Day show and a Spring Dance. In academic pursuiT, we had The pleasanf opporTuniTy of visiTing The Franklin lnsTiTuTe of Science in Philadelphia wifh Mr. Lepp and Mr. Richardson. Anofher Trip of real value was To The Museum of Modern ArT in New York, under The guidance of Miss Baker. The Sophomore year found us well seT'Tled aT Newark. A greaT many of our class were greafly impressed wifh The work of Dr. Mase, head of The curriculum for handicapped children. Through his efforTs, Trips To The A. l-larry Moore School in Jersey Cify and The Trenfon School for The Deaf were made possible. The work ob- served There helped many of us decide To enTer. The specialized field of Teaching excepTional children. ln The Junior year, we all received our firsT real Teaching experience during Junior PracTicum. OTher memories are Those of The wonderfully successful Junior Show and of The Junior Prom aT The l-loTel Suburban in Easf Orange. LeT us noT forgeT The Trip wifh Miss l-lankins To The Delaware Wafer Gap. AT The end of This year, Dr. Dougall, Then presidenf of The college. lefT us To work in Japan. We can all do well To fol- low The basic educaTional principles Taughf by This praiseworfhy man. Then, all of a sudden, we are Seniors. Each monTh, a Senior secfion gave an enTerTainmenT for The resT of The class and The big Senior show broughT The house down. WiTh CommencemenT and The Senior Ball our year closes, leaving behind memories boTh sad and gay and a hope ThaT The years ahead will prove as profifable as Those spenT aT The New Jersey STaTe Teachers College af Newark.
