A new Coach - Mike Holder With only two returning varsity players returning from the previous year, and only two seniors, this team contained a lot of youth. This was an all new team. But to add to this, the Lionswereface with a change in coaches. Coach ' Mike Holder brought new insight and a new philosophy to the Kaufman basketball program. Some- thing else which would trouble the Lions through the year was the addition of the 3-point line. The Lions had a rough year. They struggled hard all year long but seemed to end up on the short end of the stick too many times. Victories were few and far between for this young team, but look for the Lions to bust loose next year with six returning players who look to add to the Lion program. ln addition, Coach Mike Holder will be in his sophomore year by that time, so the future of the Lions looks to being busting loose and running.
