With all those good looking boys around, who's interested in the balll . . . Da boys get ready for a slick quarter-back sneak--keep your eyes on Chauncey, he's a sly one. - ' School completed another successful r in its endeavor to produce good citizens, t ng in mind and body, Under capable instructors, Miss Wilma S haid and Mr. Seichi Ono, our new coach, the students were taught the importance ot good sportsmanship. Basketball, football, and track were sports enjoyed by the boys. ln an effort to arouse the interest of the boys, the coach gave rigid examinations, testing the ability and sports knowledge of each boy. Health instruction supplemented the cur- riculum of both classes, Lectures were given and movies were shown for better understand- ing of the subject. The girls' classes slated soccer, basketball, touch-football, softball, and volleyball for the year's scheduler Individual sports such as tennis, tumbling, badminton and golf were offered in advanced and beginners' courses.

Justifiable pride is taken in Mr. Hall's band department. In his classes, a student not only learns to appreciate music, but he also learns to analyze music scientifically. ln that way he gains a complete understanding of music The band displayed much energy through out the year especially playing at football The dramatics classes presented many plays during the year displaying surprisingly tal ented thespians of Kauai High School A W , yi, sat 'X new system of school assemblies was launched this year whereby all the planning, arrang ing, and producing of all assemblies was con centrated in the dramatics and speech de partments of the school. Another new feature in dramatics was the production of puppet shows. Art, a continued favorite among students emphasized the making of small handy articles as well as painting.
