Seventh graders have become acquainted with our nearest Spanish-speaking neigh- bor, Mexico, Through learning the lan- guage and keeping a notebook with ret- erences on living, eating, and recreation habits ot the Mexican people together with current events about this country and other Spanish-speaking countries. In high school Spanish students have swiftly learned to speak the language through impromptu and rehearsed con- versations, playlets, and listening exer- cises. Proiects having to do with Mexican culture are prepared by first and second year students, adding interest to the course and variety to the classroom. Proiects included puppet shows, scale model scenes, maps, charts, posters, li- brary research, reading, songs and dancsess.
