Due to the large number of students taking an interest in skiing, the Snow and Water Ski Clubs became larger and more active than ever before. Even though snow was not as abun- dant as last year, many more trips to local ski areas were scheduled and taken. Off-the-slope activities included silk-screening shirts and viewing various ski films. The Water Ski Club attracted more interest in the warmer spring months when the club was most active. Trips to the Colorado River and an Environmental Clean'-up Day were being considered. 'F Girls Athletic Association l'i-A 38 - Activities The Girls Athletic Association gave members the opportunity of par- ticipating with other schools in sports events such as basketball, soft- ball, volleyball, hockey and track. Many hours of practice before and after school helped girls develop skills in sports, sportsmanship, and teamwork. G.A.A. Cabinet members met weekly to discuss ways of raising money for new equipment and scheduled events. During the year, girls sold suckers, owl wind chimes, Christmas tags and Valen- tines.
