Haughey has the peculiar combination of a student and athlete. He has been loyal to his Class in athletics three years, and this year will, in all probability, win a " K " in base-ball. Phi Beta Kappa had to come, and when William H. went to Europe, Hess at once stepped into his shoes. His home town of Halstead is erecting a statue to its illustrious son. ”
