Yarbrough crowns queen during February concert Recording star Glenn Yarbrough crowned Connie Veskerna 1968 Royal Purple queen dur- ing his February concert. Yarbrough selected Miss Veskerna and her four attendants from 23 candidates representing 18 organized living groups and Off-Campus Women. Yarbrough in- troduced the queen, representing Kappa Kappa Gamma, and her attendants, Cheryl Bain, Susan Fugger, Earlene Hovis and Kathleen Sewell. The queen and attendants were escorted by representatives of Arnold Air Society, the Athlet- ic Department, Blue Key, Pershing Rifles and Scabbard and Blade. Yarbrough judged the can- didates on photographic beauty from black and white portraits. Formerly a member of the Limelighters, Glenn Yar- brough presented a concert of love and folk songs. Attracting approximately 3,300 persons, Glenn Yar- brough captivates the crowd with his love songs.
