The Department of Education revised its curric- ulum in secondary education as the block system of teaching was initiated for the first time. Create Natural Park Laboratory The K-State University Endowment Association has leased 80 acres of land near the Tuttle Creek Reservoir district that will provide a natural park area to serve as an experimental laboratory for the investigation and study of biological science prob- lems. This natural park will make it possible for students and faculty members to observe and obtain specimens for detailed study of both fauna and flora in their natural environment. The Arts and Sciences School Council was com- posed of 17 members chosen in campus elections to represent each of the departments. Larry Wolgast served as president of the council which acted in an advisory capacity to the Arts and Sciences School by reflecting student opinions. Fred A. Seaton, former Secretary of the Interior and a KSU alum, dedicates the $375,000 Kedzie Hall wing. Eisenhower Hall houses the offices of the School of Arts and Sciences plus a lecture hall and classrooms. 28
