Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the drstfrults of all thine increase: so shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine, QP:-overbs 3:9, 101. ' This was the theme of our first Harvest Home Day at KCCBS. Our hearts were made to rejoice as we saw many friends and relatives ot the students gather here on the campus on October 22, 1953. It was a. beautiful day for such an occasion. As the different ones arrived, they gathered in the chapel for the morning worship hour. Rev. J. E. Carry, pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Kansas City, Kansas, brought the message which set forth a challenge to all of us for a. greater vision in the progress of Bible schools. It was only iitting that he should bring the message, since he was the one who suggested that we have a Harvest Home Day. At the noon hour, the meal was served on tables set up on the lawn. No one needed to go away hungry, for there was a. bountiful supply for all. Following the dinner hour, all who so desired, were conducted through the various campus buildings, while others watched a softball game between two boys' teams. The whole student body is thankful to all those who contributed to the school. There were all types of vegetables, fresh and canned meats and other things, as well as hun- dreds of dollars. Let us look forward to the next Harvest Home Day, and make it a greater success. ,-,- - is ,,wM, ,Wu wipes 1 , . iss...- i ' '-25 -- ff v 1 4, qw . ::s:f llfi i S 'QA gg if ,,...
