F TER THE TEARS Win no matter lose no matter Philosophy is for losers. lsn't it? Winners get to party. Losers, while they may party Clet's not kid ourselves, most doj, have to deal with the nagging question: why? Was it worth the effort? That's where the philosophy comes in, and the cliches: winning isn't everything, chalk it up to experience, you learn more from your failures. Have we become a more philosophical school? g g We certainly don't rack up the championship 'iiiii iiii X W , my X titles like we used to. Are we wiser for Nothing is wrong with a cliche - as long as it holds water. Nothing's wrong with losing, either - so long as it holds truth. What is the truth of defeat, of mediocre seasons, of not-quite-good-enough, of a building year ? lt's simple enough, really. Anyone who's played for the joy of playing knows that Miyagi-san C'Karate Kid J is right: Win no matter, lose no matter, attitude matter.
