ft r'CMovin'O '... ifath r After Father Serra made the trek from Mexico, he established his first mission in 1769 in what is now the Presidio Park area of San Diego. Then, in 1774 the mission was moved six miles eastward from its site on Presidio Hill to its present location along the banks of the San Diego River.
