. q,,,,tW- Q's Smashed,Got Caughtln Net Under the guidance of Coach Sue Minnock the badmitton team had a fairly good season. The record ended up as 5-3. Although the re- cord was not as good as hoped for, the whole team did an outstanding job. Coach Minnock said, The team has shown trememdous improvement and has put in alot of effort. This fact proved true as SHS came out on top. Karen Kleis was voted most valuable player and Karen Bush was second. 'I v 9. 5. if Tennis Season Ended in 3-5 Rally With the help of Coach Paula Halverson and Patty Palmer, the girls tennis team did fairly well in the tough Western League competition. Their season ended with three wins and five losses. The team received high praise and respect from all schools, whether they won or lost, for being a team that tried hard and abided by the rules. Top ranked Mo Brassard Led the team followed by Kelly Walters and Sue Corpus. All three play- ers recieved trophies for their outstanding play. Coach Halverson spoke highly of the team saying that all the girls did a terrific job. She also stated that the tennis team not only played hard but they also had a lot of fun.
