The Concho was built in 1948 for the students enjoyment after school. Students still delight in its atmosphere. Peppertree was made into a girl's dorm in l954 when Judson turned co-ed.

Although preserved and enhanced by pro- per care and occasional fresh coats of paint, there still re- main a few low adobe walls and rows of fragrant citrus trees, all landmarks. Judson School was founded in l928 to provide young people of diverse abilities and interests with a sound, tradi- tional education in the healthful climate of Arizona. A main goal in educating our students at the successive stages of their mental and physical maturity was to guide and assist them to become educable, self-realizing individuals in our complex society. .ludson's philosophy is bringing together young people of all races, colors and creeds from varied cultural, intellec- tual and economic backgrounds in order to engender within the school community a broad understanding, tolerance and respect for all peoples and cultures. Credit for this beautiful and smooth-functioning institution of learning must be given those countless hard working, devoted people whose faith and unselfishness has contributed so much to our inspiring present, and our unknown future.
