Homecoming is gala occasion Homecoming was one of many memorable events. The pep rally joined everyone in enthusiasm. The final cheer was given by Henry Wick. The color guard opened the day carrying the National, State and School flags. The excitement of the day brought over 600 people to see the game and the crowning of the queen. The game started off with the Cougars smashing through the opening circle to the football field. Homecoming queen, Connie Rogier, was crowned at half time. 4 A Fred Slyfield, Tammy McCutchin, Polly Hardy, Martha lfft and Jeff Lewis. Friday night's pep rally is culminated with a traditional bonfire.

ESL helps foreign students The English Studies Program was designed to teach English to speakers of other languages. Students took classes in reading, vocabulary, grammar and com- position that were offered at three levels. Through this study, students learned their English as well as gaining an under- standing of American social customs, traditions and history. X .
