A DIVISION A Division consists of Machinist Mates CMMJ and Enginemen QENJ. The Machinist Mates are responsible for maintaining most of our auxilary systems, including the air conditioning and reefer units. LCDR BARRY 1 LCDR OLLE BERGER A native of Harwinton, Connecticut, LCDR Sollenberger graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1967. His first assignment was as Assistant Fire Control Officer and Missile Officer in USS KING CDLG-101. He then spent 3 years in USS JOHN PAUL JONES CDDG-321 serving as Fire Control Officer, Weapons Officer, and Operations Officer. LCDR Sollenberger then attended the Naval Postgraduate School in Monteray, California, graduating in March 1975 with a Master of Science Degree in Systems Technology CASWJ. From 1975 to 1977 he was an instructor in the Weapons and systems Engineering Department at the U.S. Naval Academy. Following Prospective Engineer Officer School at Idaho Falls, Idaho he reported aboard USS JOSEPHUS DANIELS in January 1978.
