I Of course, getting into the swing of things was not difficult. The football games were the highlight of the weekends. Persistence was the key note of our football team. Later in the year, there were the basketball and baseball games, too.

Registration day was so hot and sultry. Students were swarming everywhere. Little did the new and returning Red Jackets know what awaited them. Everyone was running about as though they had lost their heads, yelling at some friend. “Hey. who’d you get for English?” The groans and moans were many, the smiles few and far be- tween. Nobody wanted to give up his leisure to return to school!
