INDUSTRIAL ARTS If a man works to learn all he can With both hands and head, he’s twice the man. For the vocationally minded stu- dent, the facilities of our own “shops” are available. Here the student learns to apply the aca- demic skills of thought and de- duction to the industrial skills of mechanics and construction. From our fine teachers’ instruction, he can go on to a vocational-technical school or into the business world with a greater confidence because of his experience. Jordan’s work programs are unique, for these areas are headed by fond and capable leadership. Most businessmen of the community welcome the students on these programs into their businesses. Self-sufficiency is one of the most outstanding traits of students who work. They garner not only intellectual capability but become part of the free enterprise system, knowledgeable of its many opportunities and how to use them whenever they are ready to enter the world of work. Mrs. Presley has been a great help to students interested in business careers. DCT students became involved in many as- pects of the business field. 25
