0115155 1151515111 I haxe not words at my command to tell of the deeds of this the Class of 15 We have gone through th1s 1nst1tut1on of learning 1n much the same manner as many before us have done but I must say IH lUStlC9 to ourselves and to the school that we have not fallen below the standard elther IH qual 1ty or appearances In fact we haxe astonlshed our beloved Faculty very much both by our deportment and by our qulckness of perceptlon Very readlly we haxe mastered the many problems and dxfficultles w1th whlch the by gone classes have struggled 1n vain In deportment we have been surpassed by none for even at the xery thought of mlsconduct we were checked by that qulck alarm Clrls stop that talklngl And the boys needed no further admonltlon The g1rls are noted far and near for thelr marvelous beauty and the boys are no less known for their great valor and bravery alvs ays belng on the alert for banners and emblems forelgn to our class and we knovs that vue have been appreclated by our k1nd and graclous Prmclpal for we have often been called upon to hold secret consultatlon wlth hlm 1n hldden lecesses the results of vuhlch no one shall ever know but us We entered thls 1nst1tut1on of learnlng IS the Fall of 1911 very t1m1d and bashful llke all other Freshman classes But we soon forgot bashful ness and began to make the school feel the lnfluence of our presence We vsere the first class of Freshmen to 0lgal'l1Z9 We elected the followlng offi cers Earl Bryant pres1dent Gus Tenner NICQ pres1dent Charlotte Gray secretary Donald Herod treasurer and Earl Bryant as class reporter We also dlStlI1gl11Sh8d ourselxes by carry1ng off the honors 1n an lnter class spelllng match thls team ex en contestlng agalnst the Semors The follow mg Sprlng of 1912 we declded that It was altogether fittlng and proper that we should have a hay r1de So on a brlght Saturday mornlng we went flfty strong to Redmg s M1ll there to have the tlme of our l1ves It was there that our herozc and brave Presldent dlstlngulshed hlmself by actually k1ll1ng a snake 6 or 8 lnches long at the very least Another summer went by and we were agaln 1n school and now as worthy Sophomores agaln we chose the same Presldent as he had done so well the year before Thls tlme our v1ce pres1dent was Grace Purkett a bashful llttle girl w1th eyes of blue J ulla Shepherd was our secretary a very loxely mald Loyce Taylor was our treasurer a sm1l1ng llttle lass IX an Wood was our sergeant at arms and Vera GlbSOH was our reporter As Hallowe en approached we found tlme hang1ng dull on our hands so we de clded that we should have a farmers party at the Elks Hall We d1st1n gulshed ourselves by 1nv1t1ng the entlre Faculty and barrlng llmburger cheese rocks a l1ttle scrap and a few drops of ram we all had a very en Joyable tlme We were also the first under classmen to have a p1n In our Sopho more year we ordered a beautlful llttle trlangular shaped sllver pm Our Jun1or year was no less successful than was the other two years Agam we chose Earl Bryant for our pres1dent Carl Spald for our v1ce pres1dent Natal1e Morgan for our secretary Florence Whlte for treasurer Dale Maher for our sergeant at arms and Brooks Montgomery as our re porter On November 27 1913 we declded to try our theatrlcal talent by pre sentlng Hlcks at College at the Club Theater Thls play was a great suc O' 0 0 1, sq 7 . 1 , . . . . . . . - v 9 .
