Since the students voted to have displays instead of floats, the Pep Squad car was only one of the many cars which participated in the Homecoming parade. The Pep Squad, an active club of J.H.S., supported our Hurricane football and basket- ball teams with enthusiasm this year. In or- der to promote school spirit, they made flash cards and operated them during the ball games. Another special feature was the Pep Squad chants, which the members worked diligently on. The girls also assisted the cheerleaders in decorating the goalposts. The highlights of their social season was the Valentine Dance held on February Thir- teenth. This very successful dance was held in the P.E. building. Decorating for the Pep Squad Valentine Dance' was quite a chore, but these trusty members succeeded. Never has the Student Body better supported their team than this year. The enthusiasm which the dents of J.H.S. displayed was due partially to the lead 70 DONNIS SHOP and ABC CLEANERS stu 726,
