Throughout the year they continued to be one of the most active clubs on the campus. As in the years before, the Jonesboro chapter of the junior Classical League placed high on the list with honors. Their candidate for Halloween Queen came in third place, netting several dollars for UNICEF. A very outstanding task undertaken by the club was to remodel completely the Latin class room. They painted a beautiful mural on the wall, which depicts Latin lan- guage, architecture, and customs from early Roman times to modern times. Homecoming display, Christmas parade float, and annual Latin Club Banquet were all scheduled dur- ing the year's activities. 1
