'sTwirp - The Woman ls Requested Twirp Season began with a bang at the skating-mixer held at Inwood lce Rink. This mixer, sponsored by the SMS, proved to be one ofthe biggest and most popular mixers of the year. According to the rules of the turn-about the girls drove the cars, picked up the fellows, helped the m with their coats, and paid for the entertainment. The Sadie Hawkins dance provided a chance for the best-dressed students to shine. Round and square d a ncing kept the Dogpatch folk moving at a tremendous pace. Apple cider and donuts refreshed the famished Lil Abners and Daisy Maes. Prizes at the barn dance were given to the best- dressed Daisy Mae and Lil' Abner and for the longest beards and most unmanly beard. Winners of these contests were Barb Meurer, Dave Warthen, Gary Wilhelmi, and lim Hancock. N N Stopping to catch their breath were some of the folk from Dog- Having fun on the ice, at the skating mix patch Pat Smith G11 Jacobs Meg Bennett and Bill Wenger. er which officially opened Twirp Season were these JC students.
