Mrs. Harriet B. Lorence - can always be seen snappily flitting around the school. We hear she gets this from pushing out the school paper and coaching the cheerleaders. Miss Gertrude M. Grewen-parlez- vous Francais--if not you had better rush up and see our faithful French teacher, Miss Grewen. Also wonders why teachers can't be blessed with quiet homerooms. Mr. Milton E. Zoellner-our new biology teacher. He is assistant coach. and we also hear youre quite a bowler, Mr. Zoellner. Extremely popu- lar with the students. Miss Vianna I. Streeter - I. H. S. would be lost without faithful Miss Streeter, and many of us would be late without her there to shoo us into horne- rooms. Mrs. Alice L. Dillenbeck -I u ni o r class advisor. Loves everybody -and we love her. Her witty and lively manner keeps Latin interesting. Mrs. Marcia C. Karg -the Rosa Bon- heur of I. H. S. She sees that the art students keep the halls of I. H. S. deco- rated with seasonal pictures. Mrs. Margaret M. Saunders - Senior class advisor. You must have quite a feather collection by now, Mrs. Saun- ders. Her popular saying is, All you nice people be quiet. Miss Evelyn E. Elwood - our compe- tent librarian. She wonders why some students just can't seem to keep their mind on library work. Mrs. Martha T. Van Derwerlcen - has charge of girl's swimming and physical ed. Her favorite saying is pivot Mr. Arch Ruport-the author of I. H. S. He is also the boys physical ed. instructor. He just 1-o-v-e-s to raise chickens. Mrs. Florence D. Iudy - our home ec. teacher. lnstructs the girls in human re- lationships, too - and it certainly does help, doesn't it, girls? ' Mr. Iohn O. Sebast-works hard with the musicians of I. H. S. The orchestra certainly has enlarged under your direction, Mr. Sebast. Mr. Edward I. Iantschi-is also a music teacher. Coaches the chorus. He always gets a big response when di- recting singing in assembly programs. Thats our faculty, certainly a diversi- fied bunch of personalities, but one which works together to mold the edu- cational product of Iohnstown High School. frv.4,qQ.-4- fi P' :gf 4:7 -., S , ' .4ff9QZ5i ': .r ' L .
