The Johnson Eagles completed their first year of eight-man football with a very fine record of eight wins and one loss. The only loss was to Filley by 1 point. With seven lettermen returning to Johnson, Coach Alan Stiers produced one of the finest teams in the history of Johnson. Twenty-six boys reported for practice at the beginning of the season and 12 boys won letters. Both the offense and defense, which were outstanding, enabled the Johnson Eagles to score a total of 312 points, and to hold their opponents to 57 points. Congratulations to the football team of 1958 for its fine team! 1958 Football FOOTBALL SCORES HOME OPPONENT 25 Sterling 6 39 Odell 0 39 Table Rock 6 74 Adams 7 18 Filley 19 20 Eagle 0 13 Brock 0 46 Cook 12 38 Cortland 7 2
