Charles F. Minnis, Senior Class President We the Senior Class of 1985, are eager to meet the great challenges which we shall encounter upon graduation. The past four years at JCSU have been for each if us stepping stones filled with long hours of study and precious moments of enjoyment and personal growth. Likewise, graduation presents its pleasant ambiguities: it represents both endings and new beginnings. Graduation is a time for laughter and a time for tears; a time for lightheartedness, a time for seriousness; a time for apprehension, a time for confidence; a time for farewell, a time for salutation. And we, the fortunate, should be eternally grateful that, by the Grace of Almighty God and through the ardent support of parents, family, teachers, and friends, we have arrived . We have arrived at that juncture in our lives which marks the close of our formative years as undergraduates in favor of our initiation into the realities of this transitory life. Seniors, hold fast to your special plans and dreams with faith and face the future head-on with high aspirations. Realize within your mind and soul that the best is yet to come! In the words of Helen Steiner Rice: As you climb life ' s ladder, Take faith along with you And great will be your happiness As your dearest dreams come true. Gold has no value unless it is reminted into goodness. Let me be great in the eyes of the Lord, For that is the richest, most priceless reward. CONGRATULATIONS and best wishes in all future endeavors. 18 Charles F. Minnis Senior Class President PHOTOGRAPHY BY JOHNELL KINSEY
