Football Action The Officers' traditional pre-game strut. Everyone enjoyed the excitement of football season, Not only was our team a success, but the performances by all the support groups as well. Cheerleaders kept the spirit going with the Blue Brigade as well backing them up. The Lion Guard served in many areas of service at the games. Halftime came alive with shows by the Band, Flag Corps, Majorettes, and Brigadettes. at Q Majorettes twirl at half-time. ! The band waits to go on in parade rest. The Lion Guard is always responsible for raising the flag. The Brigadettes march on the field ready to present an outstanding performance. Shirl Pfutzenreuter is in the spotlight. 20 . . . Football Keep on smiling that beautiful drill team smile.

lT's Finest On Parade 1 is 1 g z X 1 'M Leisa Richardson, Head Drum Major, leads the grand marching lions. Parades honoring the Rose Festival and Christmas brightened several days during the year. Area schools were invited to participate along with community clubs entering many colorful floats. john Tyler's spirit organizations flaunted blue and white to the supportive spectators. The Rose Parade, being a longer and a more publicized event, attracted people from around the southern states. The annual Christmas parade heralded the coming of the Yuletide season to the local citizens. 22 . . . Parades I for The smiling high-stepping Brigadettes add a touch of grace and poise to the Rose Parade. 1 A 1 .
