Improving the schools was the job ofthe seven member School Board of the Tyler Public Schools. One ofthehnprovmhenwinadeatJohn Tyler was the erection of the covered walk-way, by the student parking lot. Another improvement was the authonzauonforthebuHdingof a new Agricultural building. Along with making improvements, the Board carned onitsregularjob ofhinng faculty, adopting new textbooks, and setdngschoolpohcy.
