P4 AR iz., In the unper right picture in Mrs. Bakers XVorld-Geography class, Janet Wilkerson, Ann Easley, and Bill White are busy taking notes on their seminar reports. This type of report requires the student to do outside re- search on a country and then report his findings to the class. The picture at the left is one of Mrs. Baker's World History classes. Here Joe Mc- Reynolds, Freddy Sawyer, and jean Seaten are reading an issue of their current events magazine which each student is required to subscribe to. Nancv Coddle and Pamela Baker are among the few in the picture at the bottom left who are getting a World History assignment. On the bulletin board is some extra information which Mrs. Baker supplied for the students interest when they were studying Abraham Lincoln. These extra things, the students think, make the subject more interesting. 27 A

In the top picture Ruth Harris, Norma Hall, and Shelby Bryant are busy taking notes in Mr. Burkhalter's third period American llistory class. Since the students have no text hooks for this particular subjett, their nntcs are their only means of stutlying the material that has been covered in class. In the picture at the right Ken- neth Crone, Bobby Dark, and jackie Bailey seem to he listening for im- portant information to take clown so they will know it when it appears on a test. Bobby Dark seems to have a question he wants to ask Mr. Burk halter. ln the bottom right corner picture Pat Gerard, Linda Blankenship, and Tommy Brown are vcry busy taking notes in Miss Scott's third period Government class.
