Hereafter, our school will be known as John Tyler High School and the new school, which some of you will help establish, will be called Robert E. Lee High School. Each of these sclfools will bear honorable names. Each will carry on the rich traditions that have grown at Tyler High over the seventy-six years of its existence. Although our present student body will be divided and will attend eparate schools, there will be a strong bond of friendship, and a close relationship between the two groups. It is the individual responsibility of each one of us, faculty, students, and graduates, to cherish this kinship of spirit and to maintain the ideals we inherit from Old Tyler High.
