X X FRESHMAN FROLICS The Freshman Class was the first to undertake the new enterprise of entertainment programs for student body assemblies with their presentation of the Freshman Frolicsf' Their program took place on November 9, and exhibited the various talents of the newly arrived freshmen. Acts consisted of a quiz playlet, a chorus line dancing to The Light of the Silvery Moonf' a melodramatic mystery, vocal solos, and numbers by a dance band. The lfreslimen gave the other classes a high standard of entertainment to equal. SOPHOMORE ASSEMBLY PROGRAM The Sophomore Class was the last to present an assembly program for the John Swett Student Body. In order to have something different, the class selected a radio script idea, with audience participation. Before the microphone came a parade of class talent, including song trios, fancy skating, and piano solos. The high point of the program was the Truth or Conse- quences number, and did the audience have fun being put on the spot! The program was sponsored by the Pop-right Rubberized Chewing Gum Company. This presentation by the Sophomore Class was the conclusion of a very successful series of assembly programs put on by the various classes this year. Much of the credit for the success of the programs is due to the excellent direction by Miss Prising. The student committees who planned the numbers and the many students who took part in the programs also deserve the gratitude of the entire student body.
