As their music floated across the harbor of Villefrance, the energy in those sounds seemed to invade and inspire all wh0 head them. Well attended by both JOHN RODGERS crewmen and men from the U55 MOOSBRUGGER, moored alongside, the crowd's enthusiasm made this a memorable event. Left: GSM2. l CHZFH75 YFMXA 5 Nothing can quite take the place of Christmas at home, surrounded by family, and a yule log blazing in the fire- place. But the Wives' Auxiliary showed that although we were out of sight, we definitely weren't out of mind. With enough food and decorations to give St. Nick a hernia, the ship came alive with the spirit of the season. Our friends Vaughn and Nancy Blevins of the Adopt-a-Ship organiza- tion gave Santa a little help with the gifts, but he showed up personally in Palma to distribute them.
