OTE WOT School days filled with joy and laughter Soon will be a memory. ' May they teach us to be braver As We face our destiny. i As we proudly sing the stirring strains of our Alma Mater, we realize that our years at Mcflaskey High really have been filled with joy and laughter. This past year, a tense and cataclys- mic period of rapid changes and historic actions has brought out that fact more significantly than ever before. Our people have been attacked, our Way of life has been threatened, and our country has launched an unrelenting War to protect us, to crush out such treachery, and to make the World safe for future peace. Yet, throughout all this, throughout all these trying times, our daily school life has gone on uninterrupted, scarcely even altered. As long as Democracy is secure on this earth, the light of free public education shall not flicker. As long as our schools are open, We can be certain that the torch of Liberty is still burning. May this book of high school memories be throughout our lives a symbol of that great American principle of education which We shall always love, and which We shall always strive to preserve.
