Bears watch teammates as they push on to victory. Pep Club officers and athletes scurry throng the halls in preparation for the assembly. Before school, clues to the spirit prevail as each student proudly wears a card saying: GO BEARS. The pep assembly takes place during the first class period. Clever skits and exciting talks hold the firm attention of every student. Game time arrives and Marshallites flock to the scene. Wild cheers and other exhibitions typical of the school loyalty permeate the stadium or gym- nasium. School photographers dedicate time and ef- fort in order to immortalize the event. As the con- test draws to an end the student body sings the traditional Alma Mater. But this is only seemingly the end. The year slowly draws to a close and with the nearness of the finale comes the awards for outstanding ability. ,lohn Marshall boasts an All-American football player and State-Champion Wrestler as well as many other top honors. These accomplishments are represented by trophies and medals, but more important is the fact that our school holds such ability. This is the ideal which incurrs a sense of pride within the heart of every Marshallite. The Bears' spirit soars as each game day arrives. h . .
