L'0MM14NDlN6' 0FFlC'fR Captain Stanley J. Pryzby was born in Green- field, Massachusetts on 29 February l940. He attended Princeton University where he was a member of the Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps,graduating witha Bachelor of Arts Degree. Commander Pryzby was commissioned as an Ensign, United States Navy in june ofI962. His first assignment was as First Lieutenant On board USS BACHE KDD-4701 He has also served at sea on board USS PRIME KMSO-466j as Executive Officer, USS LUCE KDLG-7j as Weapons Officer, and USS BROOKE KFFG-lj as Executive Officer. Shore duty assignments have been on the staffs of the Chief of Naval Operations KOP-10002, Chief of Naval Education and Training, and Deputy Commander Operational Test and Evalu- ation Force, United States Pacific Fleet. His last assignment was once aga.in on the staff of the Chief of Naval Operations fOP-942Gj. Captain Pryzby is a graduate of the United States Naval School,Mine Warfare,the Department Head Course, United States Naval Destroyer School, and George Washington University. Captain Pryzby's personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal fwith a gold star in lieu of a second awardj, the Navy Commen- dation Medal, and the Navy Achievement Medal fwith a gold starj. EXEC'077VE 0FFlC'ER LCDR Hank Prevette graduated from the Naval Academy in 1970, and assumed duty on board the USS VOGELGESANG fDD-8622 as First Lieutenant and ASW Officer. He attended Naval Destroyer School in 1972-73 and relieved as Weapons Officer on board USS HAROLD f, ELLISON fDD-8642. This was followed by a tour as First Lieutenant on board USS SAGINAW KLST-11'80j from December 1974 to March 1976. LCDR Prevette then assumed command of USS PAPAGO KAFT-1601, earning the Meritorious Unit Commendation for a transatlantic drydoch tow in adverse weather conditions. After two years on board USS PAPAGO, he was assigned to the Naval Academy and assumed duties as midshi man com an officer and later was trans- P P 7 ferred to the office of the Officer of the Com- mandant to serve as the Performance Officer. LCDR Prevette relieved as Executive Officer on board USS fOHN KING in November 1981. LCDR Prevette wears the Navy Commen- dation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, and Meritorious Unit Commendation fone starj. He and his wife Susan and their two children, jennifer and Davide, reside in Norfolk, Virginia
