With us, too, steel endures and becomes part of the maturational process. USS JOHN KING KDDG-32 verified this concept when she proudly patrolled the seas during her 1982 MedfI.O. deployment: she maturated through her creative process by providing various means to stimulate the populous physically: jock strap and DC Olympics are a couple examples. For us who invigorated her during that interim, we shall always be proud. Even our families who awaited our weekly correspondence shall also remember the bitter-sweet but patience-building weeks, which slowly transformed into months. This booh shall assist us to recapture some of those moments, whether vividly or faintly- It's we!!! x K . .7 lZ5'5'J0fiNKlN6' 71706-3! Y J. King sailors help renovate orphanage By J 03 J. Farrell Over the years American Sailors have con- tributed theiri efforts to the needy throughout the world. John King CDDG-37 sailors helped maintain this tradition during a recent port visit to Naples, Italy by assisting in the renovation. of a local or- phanage. The renovation- of' theorphanage, Casa Dello Sloripia Chouse of the crippledb, located in 'Villa Delle Rose, took four days to complete. s During those four days, different groups of John King sailors were tasked with priming and painting roughly built cement walls, repainting several lighting fixtures, building an animal shelter, trimming the hedges, and rebuilding two metal doors. ' Although the project was elaborate, the sailors found it to be a rewarding experienceg many have expressed an interest to continue support by sending monthly contributions to assist in the up- keep of the orphanage. f?hafzo'ng ia fha eaaenoe ofoullufzfal W oonaoiouaneaa. glfaw, al homfe ofa 0660041 ww fb0!l00!t'fl,0f0 leam ia alwaya fwady lo lend w heyday hand lo fha needy., 924445 ihbafbyloahene, cmula 0602 hah offlo you men J ofa m' mu ' wad cz foneemfo UNRET R ogg ,lf ffygmul mem hemdj' 09,50 tbM0!,!
