50 S-3 DIVISION The Services Division, is composed of seven different ratings, all involved in providing ser- vice to the crew. Yoeman and Personnelman are responsible for maintaining officer and enlisted service records, as well as preparing all adminis- trative paperwork required for one's professional growth in the Navy. The Ship Servicemen operate the laundry, the barber shop, ship's store and vending machines. Customer service is the SH's specialty! The Hospital Corpsman is the ship's DOC , busy healing the sick and maintaining the crew's medical and dental records. Disbursing Clerks are the onboard payroll and banking experts. They maintain pay records, keep the money balanced and process allotments. The Postal Clerk is the ship's mailman and morale booster. He delivers the letters and the care packages and is considered, by many, to be the most important person onboard!
